On this back road tour you will follow the traditional trails and back roads of early travellers to enjoy the full beauty of the heart of the Garden Route. This day-long safari begins in Mossel Bay and reaches deep into the Outeniqua Mountains; taking you through breathtaking scenery and offering spectacular photo opportunities along the way. Sit back and allow our guides to explain the history of the area and its place in the development of South Africa.
A picnic lunch is provided and also drinks however as always it is advisable to bring some water with you particularly in the summer months.
Some short walking is involved, but only to reach certain vantage points, however reasonable foot ware (trainers) is recommended.

Itinerary
We start at the prearranged meeting point; we commence our journey by entering into the Outeniqua mountains via the little town of Great Braak, where a short history of the town and its development is given.
The tour l eaves the tarmac road and travels along gravel roads, towards the settlement of Freemanshime where a short stop to take on drinks at the local spaza shop will be made.
Dependent on the time of year i.e. in the winter months certain valleys are impassable because of the rains, the tour will take a safe but beautiful route, the picnic lunch will be eaten around 1pm and afternoon tea or coffee is also provided towards the end of the tour. Prices
